Her beautiful nature is to love and care,
Violence is the thing that she will not bare,
Even though it’s her birthday today,
She cannot celebrate it anyway,
Because she’s stuck in her own house,
Like a little trapped mouse,
She’s the true leader of the NLD,
And always fighting to get us free,
She doesn’t care if it affects her health,
She wouldn’t even mind ending up with no wealth,
The most important thing for her is that we are fine,
But we barely think about her safety in our mind,
The only reason why I have written this rhyme,
Is to give us all a small fraction of our time,
To try and put ourselves into her shoes,
And imagine the things she had to lose,
Not being able to go where she does want,
Because there’s guards right at the front,
I know some of you miss her –coz I miss her too,
It’s been so many years that this party only had me & you,
But don’t worry –coz there’s nothing to fear,
Soon Daw Aung San Suu Kyi will be here,
